OECS Congratulates Venezuela on Its Electoral Process and President Nicolas Maduro on His Reelection

“We congratulate President Nicolás Maduro Moros, on his victory and re-Election to the Presidency”
On Monday, the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), in the framework of its 75th Summit, held virtually, congratulated the Bolivarian government of Venezuela on its electoral process and the re-election of President Nicolas Maduro.

“The Heads of Government of the OECS discussed the recently held election in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and expressed their commitment to the holding of free and fair elections in every a member of the global community as the surest expression of the will of the people”, said the organism in a statement.
The OECS celebrated democracy and freedom and stressed Venezuela’s right as a sovereign state to decide on its own internal affairs.
“We stand on the principle that elections must be free as the expression of the will of the people and free from outside interference and they must be fair,” OECS governments assured.
“We congratulate President Nicolás Maduro Moros, on his victory and re-Election to the Presidency of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for a third term and urge that every effort be made towards national reconciliation”, said the statement.
Likewise, the organ appreciated the friendship of Venezuela mainly for its “invaluable solidarity and friendship”.
